The Quebec company Frygy Cube International presented at the brand new salon Truck World in Toronto, its ecological refrigeration unit with zero emissions, mounted for the occasion on a reefer FRIO which itself was mounted on a truck provided by International DuraStar hybrid International truck West Island.
The purpose of the operation, said the president of Frygy Cube, Michel Tétreault, being a truck to market "green" aerodynamic combining a hybrid truck, a van high efficiency without thermal bridges, and the refrigeration unit Frygy Cube which does not consume any fuel and emits no pollution. "We have agreements with major corporate clients who will test the truck. The people at Navistar in Chicago are also aware of the project, "says Tétreault, who does not hide his ambitions: he wants the Cube Frygy eventually be sold around the world.
Geraldo Prioriello, director of leasing in the short and long term for Trucks West Island, believes "that this technology is very promising and that this project will make a real and interesting market in sales."
